"Never wish for something too much - you might just get it"
On a recent trip to one of the hunting concessions, (I was camp cook and managed the lodge) a client from Texas USA made the following statement:
"I would gladly give up the rest of my hunting on this trip if it would rain
- this country really needs some rain"
Needless to say that it rained for the last four days on his trip. 40 mm of rain in three days - ironically it very seldom rains in June, heart of the Bushveld, South Africa. Of course the client never heard the end of this one.....
So, future hunters - never wish for something like this as your wish might just be granted.
