 "WOMEN IN AFRICA: A CELEBRATION" - is the launch of a range of dolls depicting the stages of women's lives from various South African cultures.
Our first range will focus on Ndebele women. The art of making dolls as part of the Ndebele tradition is dying due to Westernization and Globalization. We aim to maintain these traditions through this range as a dedication to "Ndebele Women in South Africa" and the role they play in society.
Manufacturing these dolls, dressing them and beading the traditional skirts, forms part of a private initiative to further job creation and skills development for unemployed, unskilled people in South Africa. This private initiative aims to assist these businesses to grow in order for them to reach sustainability.
